Steve Dent – Chair of Trustees

Steve started volunteering on the site in March 2014 when it was known as the old North Stables Community Garden. In January 2022 Worcester Community Garden was launched, and Steve has been a Trustee since that date. In his working life, Steve spent many years as a negotiator and mediator, most recently at the British Medical Association, where he represented doctors in negotiations with government senior civil servants, helping to navigate complex and often sensitive situations. Jon Bodenham

Jon first got involved with Worcester Community Garden as a volunteer in 2021, and became a Trustee in 2022. He has a great deal of charity experience, having been a fundraising director at Alzheimer’s Society, and having previously worked for a range of large and medium charities such as PDSA, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Diabetes UK and WRVS. Prior to these, he worked in marketing for insurance and investment firms and major grocery brands. Read more

Sharon Ross

Sharon, a Trustee since 2025, first started volunteering at Worcester Community Garden the year before that. She feels the Garden represents everything she values in community-driven green spaces – sustainability, education and inclusion. Read more

Cathryn Ryall

Cathryn first got involved with Worcester Community Garden in 2024, and became a Trustee in 2026. With a background in art and craft, Cathryn has a very particular and valuable set of skills to bring to the Garden, both as a hands-on volunteer and a Trustee. Read more

Claire Lucas

Claire took over as Worcester Community Garden’s website editor and social media lead in 2025, and was appointed a Trustee in 2026. She has had a varied career in various corporate and not-for-profit organisations, in roles whose common theme is finding and providing information for others, including research scientists and the general public.
