Jon first got involved with Worcester Community Garden as a volunteer in 2021, and became a Trustee in 2022. He has a great deal of charity experience, having been a fundraising director at Alzheimer’s Society, and having previously worked for a range of large and medium charities such as PDSA, Battersea Dogs and Cats Home, Diabetes UK and WRVS. Prior to these, he worked in marketing for insurance and investment firms and major grocery brands.
Through his involvement with the Community Garden, Jon values being outside with talented and fascinating volunteers whilst making a practical difference to local sustainability. He particularly enjoys leading “…a very amusing construction team, of which I am the least talented.” Away from the Garden, Jon loves the arts and being in nature, enjoying the company of friendship groups that share his passions; he is an Events Officer for Worcester Greens.
