SUMMARY:Field to Vase - Make your own posey (adults)
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a delightful session at the “Field to Vase – Make your own posey” event at the Worcester community garden\, using flowers grown on-site. These are zero carbon\, peat-free\, chemical-free\, locally grown British blooms. This workshop is about learning about what we can grow locally throughout the season to reduce our carbon footprints\, as well as cutting\, conditioning & creating lovely posies for your home or friends. The focus will be on cut-and-come again annuals (both hardy and half-hardy)\, as due to our now all-too-regular flooding from River Severn\, we are limited in the perennials we can grow. No experience needed in either gardening or floristry and all materials will be provided. \nThere is a nominal fee of £5 (excluding Eventbrite fees of £1.13) per person. Please feel free to bring your own lunch if desired. DESCRIPTION:Join us on Sunday 24th August for our annual Eco Fair. \nThere will once again be a range of wonderful stalls\, including street food\, an ice cream stand and our ever popular garden café. \nAmongst the stall holders will be PackItIn zero waste products\, Worcestershire Environmental Group\, Worcestershire Wildlife Trust\, RSPB\, local artists selling original prints and cards\, Bike Worcester\, Jade’s fruit juices\, local artists\, Egyptian and Spanish street food. \nThere will be hourly site tours by our site guides\, and we will also be selling fresh produce plus plants\, jams\, honey and chutneys from the sales kiosk on site. Please put the date in your diary. We look forward to welcoming you on the day. \nEntry on the day is free.
